What is an underlying question that gives form
to your work or interest in this field?
What is fully awakened and how can we achieve it, using
the tools that we all innately have?
What is your personal experience of
collective wisdom in groups?
I have lived in a spiritual community with others for
many years, with a non-religious intention to gain wisdom through practice
of daily meditation and learning to relate to our inside reactions which
are provoked from life and relationship interactions. I have also spent
many years engaged in dialog on the Internet in various spiritual mailing
lists and forums. My conclusion at this time is that the intention is
good, people want to do it, but the reality is that it’s very
hard still for people to connect in a profound way. Another conclusion
is that the more spiritual people become, then it seems to be even harder
to connect. This is a huge dilemma for me and I continue to seek solutions
to bring us closer together.
What is it about the work in this field that excites
you and connects you to your own deepest self?
What excites me the most is getting results,
which means my serenity increases, I become more insightful and less
reactive as personality. The more I connect with my inner self, the
more everything is exciting and also the more I want to share what I
did to get that, hoping by doing so that it might help others to do
the same. I like to write tanka poetry as a form of self-expression
and communication, because poetry is a vehicle that can pass through
the barrier of intellectual understanding.
Waves of energy
massaging tired body
forgetting myself.
Interest lost in worldly things
the treasure is here right now.
Please provide a brief storyline or snapshot of
what brought you to this work.
I think what brought me to this work, was my inner self,
my essential being, which is growing stronger every day. The more I
resisted that calling, the stronger the knocking got, to the point where
I eventually let go of my grip of holding onto my self-image. In short:
"I surrendered." I continue to do that today. A more detailed
storyline is available at phoenixtools.org/articles/khistory.htm
How would you like to be available to others in
this field? What would be a meaningful connection? Are you available to
talk with others? What contribution might you be able to make?
The most I can do right now is make myself available
to answering specific questions, this is because I am in an intense
healing process and don’t have much time. The other way I can
contribute is by writing articles and sharing my perspective. A meaningful
connection is one that is free from needing to gain anything for oneself,
a simple exchange and sharing and I welcome that whenever it comes with
open arms. I share a poem I wrote to describe a meaningful connection:
Orange blossom time
heady scent attracting me
drawing me closer.
Flowers filling my eyesight
connection beyond senses.
